Calvary Scrappers
The Calvary Scrappers are a creative group of crafters who are on a mission to shepherd to the community.
We are using donated materials to create gifts for our Calvary Family and for local community organizations. We have made quilts for refugees and local children hospitals, comfort pillows for Johns Hopkins Hospital and various holiday decor for Calvary's shut ins. If you can think of a creative way to give back to the community contact the church... and Let's get Scrappy!

Youth Group NYE Celebration
Join us as we celebrate New Year’s Eve and welcome 2025! The youth are invited to a special sleepover filled with fun activities, fellowship, and reflections on the past year. This event will provide an opportunity for our young people to bond, share their hopes for the coming year, and enjoy a night of excitement as we countdown to midnight together.
Please bring your favorite snacks, games, and any other items you would like to share with the group.

Traditional Christmas Eve Service with Communion & Candles
This traditional Christmas Eve service is a beautiful way to celebrate the birth of Christ. The service ends with the sight of flickering candles and the singing of “Silent Night.” Christ is born, Alleluia! This service is most enjoyed by those who love the reverence of a quiet Christmas Eve service.

“Praise the Lord with the Harp,” it says in the Psalms. Join us as we praise God for the birth of our savior and enjoy hearing Kris Snyder play Christmas carols on the Celtic harp.

Christmas Caroling
Please join us as we make our way to the homes of our older members who can’t make it to church, We will sing Christmas Carols to bring some Christmas joy from Calvary.
German Christmas Service
Pastor Anke will be presiding over this years German Christmas service. Be sure to join us for this wonderful service spoken in the German language.
Blue Christmas Service
For all those whose hearts are heavy with grief and who therefore feel disconnected from the joyful holiday spirit around them we offer a special "Blue Christmas". We will allow ourselves space for our grief and welcome the comfort God gives us through the gospel of Jesus' birth among us. This service will be live streamed.

Cantata Sunday
Join us at out Traditional worship service for this years Cantata sung by Calvary’s choir.
Youth Group Going to see the Boats lit up in Frederick
We will depart the church around 4 p.m. to make sure we catch the Christmas lights in all their nighttime glory. After enjoying the dazzling displays, we will grab something to eat—haven't settled on the place yet. We'll aim to be back at the church for pick-up by 7:30 p.m.
It's going to be a festive evening filled with lights, food, and fun!
Christ the King Sunday
Join us as we honor Jesus Christ as Lord over all creation. Two services are offered. 9am Contemporary and 11am Traditional.

In this service we will honor our loved ones, by lighting a candle, who have made their way to Heaven.

Do not be scared off by a sewing project. If you can use scissors you can do this project. And if anyone wants to get more experience on a sewing machine, I can show you the ropes. This is a basic project, very simple.
We will be using fabric that was donated and left over from blanket projects.

Harvest Home Sunday
It’s the season of harvest and once again we give thanks for God’s ability to provide all creation with enough to thrive. As a sign of our gratitude and in the spirit of the love of Jesus, we will be collecting canned and dry goods for this year’s Harvest Home. Take one of the bright green bags from the entryway with you, fill it up, and bring it back. It’s that easy! The collection will be dedicated on October 20th. The collection will be divided between Mt. Airy NET and the Morgan Chapel Food Pantry.
